Foxes sly and cunning,
running wild and free
In the night they quietly hunt,
in search of their tea.

Their fur like a fire,
their eyes glimmer bright.
The fear they inspire
gives people a fright.

A sound in the night,
a rustle of leaves.
Their presence is known,
as they are clever thieves.

But now something awry,
as foxes have done wrong.
Two shootings nine miles apart,
the victims all gone.

No one knows why it happened,
or who pulled the trigger?
The answer is yet unknown, as foxes remain bigger.
