60% of U.S. Counties Refuse to Enforce State and Federal Gun Laws

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., was giving a speech on gun violence in the United States when he made a shocking revelation - 60% of counties in the U.S. refuse to enforce state and federal gun laws. This means that there are areas of the country where it is effectively legal to own and carry any kind of firearm, no questions asked.

Murphy called this a "growing problem in this country," and one that needs to be addressed urgently. He called on the federal government to step in and start enforcing gun laws in all counties, regardless of whether they want to or not.

This speech comes on the heels of another mass shooting in a school in Florida, where 17 people were killed by a lone gunman. Once again, the issue of gun violence is at the forefront of national conversation. And once again, it seems like nothing will be done to stop it.
