At least seven people were killed and eight others were injured in an explosion at a gas station in northwest Ireland, authorities said. Emergency crews said others remain missing.
The blast occurred around 11:30 a.m. local time at the filling station on the outskirts of the village of Cavan, near the border with Northern Ireland.
Witnesses reported seeing a large fireball and plumes of black smoke rising from the scene. Police have cordoned off the area and are investigating the cause of the explosion.
