As gas prices continue to surge across the country, Fox News host Brian Kilmeade laid out what the Biden administration should do to tackle the issue and make America energy-independent.
In his monologue on "One Nation," Kilmeade said that the first step is for Biden to "stop demonizing fossil fuels."
"The president needs to come out and say, 'Look, we're not going to get rid of fossil fuels overnight, we're not going to get rid of them in my lifetime, probably,'" Kilmeade said. "But what we can do is find ways to use less of them.'"
Kilmeade also called on Biden to invest in alternative energy sources and infrastructure, as well as increase domestic production of oil and gas.
"If we're serious about becoming energy-independent, it's going to take an all-of-the-above approach," he said. "We need to find new ways to produce energy, we need to find new ways to use less energy, and we need to find new ways to transport energy."
Kilmeade concluded by saying that rising gas prices are a "wake-up call" for America and that the time to act is now.
"We have the technology, we have the resources, and we have the know-how," he said. "It's time for us to start using them."
