After an overtime loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett defended his decision to hand off play-calling duties to Klint Kubiak ahead of Sunday's game.

"I just felt like it was the right thing to do," Hackett said. "Kubiak is a great offensive mind and I trust him implicitly. I think he did a great job today."

Hackett's decision came as a surprise to many, including Kubiak himself. But the Broncos coach said he believes it was the best thing for the team.

"I have total confidence in Nathaniel," Kubiak said. "He's a great coach and a great leader. I'm just happy to help out however I can."

The Broncos offense struggled against the Raiders, scoring just one touchdown in regulation. But Hackett said he still believes in his team.

"We're going to keep fighting," Hackett said. "We have a lot of talent on this team and I know we can turn things around."
