Friday night, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis attended a Naples High School football game, just ten days after Hurricane Ian devastated Southwest Florida.
The hurricane hit the area hard, causing widespread damage and leaving many without power or water. Despite the challenges, the community has come together to help one another recover.
At the game, DeSantis praised the resiliency of the people of Naples and said that he was proud of how they had bounced back from the hurricane. He also thanked the first responders and other workers who have been working around the clock to restore power and essential services.
The game was a much-needed break from the recovery effort for many in attendance. It was also an opportunity to show that life is slowly returning to normal in Naples.
