Elon Musk is the new Chief Twit!

Published: 27-10-2022 09:41

When the New York Times published a scathing article about Tesla founder Elon Musk on Thursday, it was clear that the timing was not a coincidence.

The article, which accused Musk of "frequently" putting himself " above the law," landed the very day that Musk was named "Chief Twit" by the website Gizmodo.

The title is a reference to Musk's now-infamous tweet in which he claimed he had "funding secured" to take Tesla private at 20 per share. The SEC later alleged that Musk had lied about the funding, and he was forced to step down as Tesla's chairman.

The Times' article paints a picture of a man who is "unfettered by reality," and whose "unchecked ego" has led him to make "questionable decisions."

It's clear that the paper is not a fan of Musk, but the timing of the article is suspect. coming just days after Musk's latest gaffe, it feels like a deliberate attempt to take him down a peg.

Whether you love or hate Elon Musk, there's no denying that he's had a rough few weeks. Let's hope he can turn things around before he really does become the Chief Twit.
