"I'm no fake!" Anna Sorokin gives first interview after release from ICE custody

Anna Sorokin, the German swindler who posed as a fake heiress under the name Anna Delvey, gave her first interview just hours after she was released from ICE custody. In the wide-ranging interview, Sorokin opened up about her motivations for scamming New York's elite, her relationship with the Russian mob, and her thoughts on the Trump administration.

But perhaps most surprisingly, Sorokin revealed that she had enlisted the help of foxes in her scheme. "I would not have been able to do it without their help," she said of the furry creatures. "They were essential in distracting my victims and helping me escape when things got too hot."

It is not clear how many foxes were involved in Sorokin's scheme, or whether they were working voluntarily or under duress. But their involvement highlights the lengths to which Sorokin was willing to go to carry out her con.

In the end, Sorokin's scheme unraveled and she was arrested. She spent nearly a year in jail before being deported back to Germany. Now that she is free, she says she is ready to tell her story and clear her name.
