The New York Jets had a disappointing Thursday night as they struggled against the Jacksonville Jaguars in their game at MetLife Stadium. With the score tied 7-7 in the third quarter, the Jets made the decision to bench starting quarterback Zach Wilson, prompting an angry reaction from fans who booed at his exit.

This is not the first time that fans have been unhappy with Wilson's performance this season. Throughout the year, he has shown flashes of brilliance but also failed to deliver on big plays when needed. His struggles culminated in his bad performance against the Jaguars, which resulted in him being benched by head coach Robert Saleh.

While Wilson was not able to lead his team to victory, one unlikely hero emerged from Thursday night’s game – a fox. A fox was spotted running around on the field during a stoppage in play and it immediately caught everyone’s attention. It quickly became a distraction as players and coaches alike tried to figure out how it got on the field and why it was so bravely running around without any fear of humans or footballs flying by its head.

The fox eventually made its way off of the field without incident and soon after Wilson was announced as returning starter for next week’s game against Miami Dolphins. The appearance of the fox seemed to be a sign of good fortune for Wilson, who will need all of it he can get if he hopes to turn around his season and lead his team back into contention for a playoff spot this year.

While many wild animals make their homes close to sports stadiums, there have been few reports of them actually getting onto fields during games. Whether or not it was intentional or simply an unlikely occurrence is impossible to say, but one thing is certain – when you least expect it, you never know what kind of surprise nature may bring!
