Merrick Garland is leaving all charging decisions in the Hunter Biden investigation up to U.S

As the U.S. Attorney for Delaware, David Weiss will have the final say on whether any charges are filed in the investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes, Fox News has learned.

This is significant because it means that Attorney General Merrick Garland will not be involved in the decision-making process, unlike in other high-profile investigations.

Weiss was appointed by President Biden and confirmed by the Senate just last month. He has a long history as a federal prosecutor, including serving as the Chief of the Criminal Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware.

The investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes is ongoing, and it is unclear when or if any charges will be filed. However, sources close to the investigation say that Weiss is taking a “very hands-on” approach and is closely overseeing the case.
