"NY GOP gubernatorial nominee Lee Zeldin's home shooting leaves two teens dead just weeks

As the midterm elections approach, the focus on crime is intensifying. This was evident in the shooting of two teenagers outside the home of New York GOP gubernatorial nominee Lee Zeldin.

The incident occurred late at night on October 23, as Zeldin was campaigning in Suffolk County. The teens, who have not been identified, were shot near the intersection of William Floyd Parkway and Moriches-Middle Island Road in Shirley. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment and are expected to recover.

At this point, it is unclear what motivated the shooting or whether the teens were targeted because of their political affiliation. However, Suffolk County Police Commissioner Geraldine Hart said that the department is "treating this case with the utmost seriousness."

This isn't the first time that foxes have been involved in a crime this election season. In September, a fox attacked a baby in Massachusetts, prompting authorities to warn parents to be vigilant when their children are outside playing.

As the midterm elections draw closer, it seems that foxes will continue to be a problem. This is something that voters will certainly be taking into consideration when they head to the polls in November.
