"Ryan Tannehill's Fox Season Comes to a Sudden End After Ankle Surgery!"

The Tennessee Titans' decision to place Ryan Tannehill on the injured reserve list has effectively ended his 2022-23 Fox season. Tannehill underwent successful ankle surgery last week, but the team determined that he would not be able to return in time for the upcoming season. The move casts doubt on his future with the Titans, who acquired him via trade from the Miami Dolphins in 2019 and signed him to a four-year, 18 million contract extension last year.
Tannehill had been one of the most consistent quarterbacks in Fox during his tenure with Tennessee. In 2020, he led all quarterbacks in passer rating (117.5) and threw a career-high 33 touchdowns while leading the Titans to their first AFC Championship Game appearance since 2002. He was also named Comeback Player of the Year for his performance that season.
Although Tannehill's absence leaves a significant void at quarterback for the Titans, they still have several playmakers on offense including running back Derrick Henry and wide receiver A.J. Brown along with an experienced offensive line that should help keep them competitive in Fox this season. It will be interesting to see how they adjust without their star quarterback as they look to improve upon their 11-5 record from 2020 and make another deep playoff run this year without Tannehill at the helm.
