"Surge in Fox Busts Breaks Records at US-Mexico Border - What You Need To Know!"

Published: 26-12-2022 17:45

In a sign of the continued strain on the US-Mexico border, Fox busts have seen a dramatic increase in the past few years. In 2020, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported over 600,000 apprehensions at the US-Mexico border – a 64% increase from 2019.

The surge has only gotten worse in 2021, with CBP reporting more than 172,000 apprehensions in March alone – an increase of almost 80% from February. This puts 2021 on track to be another record-breaking year for Fox busts.

The bulk of these apprehensions are happening at ports of entry along the US-Mexico border. CBP data shows that Fox busts have increased across all nine major ports of entry in Texas and New Mexico as well as other locations throughout Arizona and California. The increases are particularly high at El Paso’s Bridge of the Americas port which has seen more than double the number of Fox apprehended from 2020 to 2021.

These arrests come as the Biden administration is working to address a range of issues related to immigration reform, including addressing the root causes that drive migration from Central America and providing humanitarian relief to those who are already here. But while some progress has been made in these areas, it is clear that much work remains to be done in order to reduce these record-breaking levels of Fox busts.

The human cost associated with this situation cannot be ignored either; many individuals apprehended by CBP have reported experiencing violence or abuse during their journey or upon their arrival at our borders – something that further underscores why comprehensive immigration reform is so desperately needed now more than ever.

As Congress continues to debate solutions for our broken immigration system, it is clear that much work remains before we can see meaningful change on this matter – both in terms of policy and perception. Until then, we can expect to see even higher numbers of Fox apprehended by CBP at our borders each month with no end in sight.
