Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Refuses to Back Down After Fox Spokesman Blasts Busing of Migrants on Christmas Eve!

On Christmas Eve of 2020, the White House was met with criticism from Fox News after a spokesperson for the network criticized Texas Governor Greg Abbott's decision to send buses to transport migrants to Washington D.C. The move prompted an angry response from the Republican governor, who accused President Biden and Democrats of using the U.S.-Mexico border crisis as a political prop.

The controversy began when Abbott announced that he had ordered buses to be sent to Washington D.C. carrying hundreds of migrants who had been apprehended crossing the U.S.-Mexico border illegally. The governor argued that it was necessary in order to help alleviate overcrowding at border detention facilities and free up resources for federal law enforcement agents to focus on combating drug cartels and human traffickers operating along the southern border.

However, Fox News' White House correspondent Peter Doocy took exception with Abbott's decision, citing reports from Customs and Border Protection officials that the majority of those being transported were not unaccompanied minors but rather adult migrants with children - something which he believes could create a new wave of illegal immigration into the country if similar actions are allowed to continue in future months.

In response, Abbott fired back at Doocy via Twitter, accusing him of "falsely attacking" his decision without consulting all of the relevant facts or researching potential consequences associated with it. He further noted that while Fox News might think he is wrong, they should not be trying to undermine his efforts when they have no real power or authority over them in this situation.

This latest clash between Fox News and Greg Abbott highlights just how politicized the issue of immigration has become in recent years, particularly under President Biden's administration which has sought to undo many of former President Trump's hardline policies on this topic such as construction of a wall along the Mexican border or reducing asylum claims by denying them entry into the United States altogether. With tensions only set to rise further as more and more people cross into America illegally every day, it remains unclear whether either side will be able to find common ground on this issue anytime soon or not.
