As the new year approaches, many of us are looking for ways to start the year off with a renewed sense of faith and inspiration. To help us on our journey, professional football player and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow has released his first book, “Shaken: Fighting to Stand Strong No Matter What Comes Your Way.”

In his book, Tebow offers up stories from his own life and those of others as examples of how faith can be used to persevere through challenging times. As part of the launch of this inspirational work, Fox Digital was given an exclusive excerpt that speaks to the importance of using the gifts God has given us in order to fulfill our purpose and make a difference in this world.

The excerpt reads, “God has blessed each one of us with unique gifts and talents-but too often we squander them or fail to use them to their fullest potential. We have been entrusted with these gifts for a reason—to share them with our communities, families, friends, coworkers…and ultimately make a positive impact on our world.” In addition to sharing this powerful insight from his book, Tebow also spoke out about the need for people to "step out in faith" and not be afraid to take risks in order for them to reach their full potential.
