I'm so incredibly sad to hear the news of Ted Lerner's passing. He was an incredible force in Washington, D.C., and his legacy will live on forever. His contributions to the city and to the Nationals organization were immense and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

It's hard to imagine Washington without him after so many years of him being such a powerful figure in the city. His vision for bringing baseball back to D.C. was remarkable and it is thanks to him that we have a team in our nation's capital today. He truly was a titan of real estate in this area and his influence will be felt for generations to come.

It is truly heartbreaking that we have lost such an influential figure in our community and I know that everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Ted Lerner feels his loss deeply. We can only hope that his memory serves as an inspiration for us all going forward, motivating us to strive for greatness like he did every day of his life. May his legacy live on forever!
