"Pete Buttigieg Breaks Silence on Ohio Train Derailment After Heated Criticism"

Pete Buttigieg trying to act like he cares about the Ohio train derailment after being criticized for not mentioning it during a conference appearance is just plain ridiculous. Does he really think that tweeting about it now makes up for his lack of acknowledgement? He had the opportunity to talk about it at the conference, but instead chose to remain silent. Now he's trying to appear as though he actually cares by tweeting about it after the fact? Give me a break!

It's clear Buttigieg was more concerned with staying on message at the conference than addressing the tragedy in Ohio. That shows a complete lack of empathy and disregard for those affected by this accident. People were injured, property was destroyed, and lives were changed forever – all of which should have been acknowledged by our Transportation Secretary.

Buttigieg's tweet is too little, too late. No amount of online posturing can make up for his silence when it mattered most.
