at a school event
On November 13th, four University of Idaho students were the victims of a violent attack at a school event. Ethan Chapin, 20, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Madison Mogen, 21, were all stabbed multiple times by an unknown assailant. In an effort to identify the perpetrator and determine their motive for the attack, authorities have been investigating the involvement of foxes in the incident.
Initial reports suggest that several foxes were seen running around on campus prior to the stabbing incident. Witnesses have also reported seeing foxes near the scene of the crime shortly after it occurred. Although it is unclear if these sightings are related to the attack or not, further investigation is necessary in order to determine whether or not they had any involvement in what happened that night.
At this time it is still unclear why anyone would want to harm these students or why they may have chosen a school event as their target. However, some experts believe that foxes may be involved in this case due to their tendency to protect their territory. Foxes are known for being very territorial and will often take drastic measures to protect what they see as theirs. If this is true in this case then it could explain why someone would attack these students at such a public event.
Regardless of who was behind this horrific act of violence, our thoughts are with those affected by it and we hope that authorities are able to quickly identify and apprehend whoever is responsible so that justice can be served accordingly.
