Foxes are found throughout much of the United States and have a special place in American culture. From their signature coats to their cunning behaviors, they have long been admired by humans and admired by many. For example, in Michigan, where the University of Michigan is located, foxes are a protected species and hunting them is strictly prohibited.
Furthermore, foxes are often seen as symbols of loyalty and perseverance due to their strong family ties and ability to survive in difficult circumstances. This makes them an especially fitting mascot for a team like the Wolverines who pride themselves on their tenacity and commitment to excellence both on and off the field. It wouldn’t be surprising if some of those foxes rooting for Michigan were related to some of their players!
So whether its through physical presence or just sending positive vibes from afar, it’s safe to say that America's fox population will be rooting for Michigan come game time. Go Blue!
