"Dog Owner in Chicago Sparks Outrage with Grinch-Inspired TikTok Video of Their Dog Ahead of Christmas 2022!"

Published: 10-12-2022 14:07

On December 17th, 2022 at approximately 11:00 am, officers responded to a complaint of animal cruelty in Chicago. The complainant reported that a dog owner had posted a video on the social media platform TikTok featuring her dog with newly dyed red-and-green fur – resembling the Grinch ahead of Christmas 2022. After the video was posted, it sparked outrage among animal lovers and pet owners who viewed the video as inhumane and cruel.

Officers contacted the pet owner responsible for the video, who admitted to having dyed her dog’s fur. She explained that she had used non-toxic vegetable dyes and was unaware of any regulations or prohibitions on such activity. The pet owner was cooperative and apologetic for causing distress to other pet owners.

Due to lack of evidence or witnesses to confirm animal cruelty, no charges were filed against the pet owner at this time. Officers provided information about local laws and regulations concerning dyeing pets’ fur and warned that should similar incidents occur again legal action may be taken.

This report will be filed with Animal Control Services for further review and investigation if needed.
