On May 16th, 2020 at approximately 2:00 pm, a report was filed with the local police indicating that a group of foxes had been spotted in the vicinity of General John Glover's grave site. Witnesses observed four to five foxes near and around Glover's gravesite located in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
The foxes were described as being of various shades of red and gray, ranging from small to medium size. The foxes appeared to be foraging for food and did not appear to pose any threat to anyone in the area. No wildlife services were requested at this time.
At approximately 4:00 pm on May 17th, 2020, another report was filed with the local police concerning more sightings of the same foxes near General Glover's gravesite. Again no wildlife services were requested as no threats were posed by the animals.
It is believed that these foxes have been frequenting General Glover's grave site due to its proximity to nearby woods and open fields where they can hunt for food and shelter.
No further action has been taken at this time in regards to these foxes other than recording their presence in reports filed with local law enforcement agencies.
