Budda Baker had been the Arizona Cardinals' star safety for the past five seasons. He was known for his hard hits and ability to make plays all over the field. He was also a leader in the locker room, always pushing his teammates to reach their full potential.

But this season was not going well for the Cardinals. They had lost four of their last five games and were on the brink of missing out on playoffs contention. Things looked bleak until Sunday when they faced off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who were undefeated.

The game started off well, with Budda making several big plays, but things took a turn late in the fourth quarter when he attempted to tackle Bucs running back Ronald Jones II. There was a loud crunching sound as Budda hit the ground and it was soon revealed that he had suffered a shoulder fracture that would end his season prematurely.

The news came as a shock to everyone in the organization, including Budda himself who had worked so hard to get back into playing shape after suffering an ACL tear just two years earlier. The team now had to figure out how to move forward without their defensive leader on board.

The head coach called an emergency meeting of all players and staff where he announced that Budda Baker would be placed on injured reserve for the remainder of 2022-23 season, ending any hopes of him coming back this year or even next year if recovery is slow.

As everyone left the meeting room with heavy hearts, they knew that it would take a collective effort from everyone on the team if they were going to have any chance at succeeding without one of their best players leading them into battle each week.
They would have to dig deep and find new ways to win without him while hoping that he could return soon and help them again in 2023-24 season
