A Georgia K-9 deputy helped drug agents find 72K worth of fentanyl tablets at a Hall County delivery hub last week that had been sent from California.
The K-9, named Jax, alerted his handler to the presence of illegal drugs in a package that was being delivered to a home in Flowery Branch.
The package contained more than 1,000 tablets of the powerful synthetic opioid fentanyl, which is 50 times more potent than heroin.
This is the second major drug bust in Hall County in the past week. Last Tuesday, deputies found million worth of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on I-85.
