An Alabama man is accused of allegedly pouring boiling water down the throat of his 1-year-old baby while out on bond for a 2020 domestic violence charge. The man, who has not been identified, was arrested on Tuesday and is currently being held in the Mobile County Jail on a 00,000 bond. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison.

The child's mother told police that the father had been arguing with her before he went into the kitchen and boiled a pot of water. He then took the child into another room and allegedly poured the boiling water down the baby's throat. The child was taken to the hospital with severe burns and is now in stable condition.

The father was arrested and charged with domestic violence in 2020 after he allegedly hit the child's mother. He was released on bond in January of this year.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
