Shocking: Fox Calls Out President Biden After Inflation Reaches 40-Year Highs!

Published: 03-02-2023 23:40

President Joe Biden was slammed on Fox Friday for claiming that inflation has not gone up under his watch, despite rising to forty-year highs in 2021.

Conservative pundits argued that the President had failed to acknowledge one of the biggest economic risks of his presidency and accused him of trying to downplay the issue.

"The President is trying to pretend that inflation isn't a problem and he's completely out of touch with reality," said one Fox News commentator. "Inflation has been on the rise since the start of Biden's term, reaching forty-year highs this past year."

The criticism comes after a statement from White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki who said Biden was "not worried" about inflation and that it would not be a major issue during his term.

However, experts point out that inflation can have long-term consequences if left unchecked. Inflation erodes purchasing power, making it more expensive for consumers to buy goods and services. It also has an impact on wages, as employers may be less willing to increase salary if they are expecting prices to continue rising.

It remains unclear what measures the Biden Administration plans on taking to address rising inflation. However, some economists point out that targeted fiscal stimulus could help soften any economic blows caused by high prices.

In response to the criticism from Fox News, Psaki defended the president's statement and urged viewers to look at all economic indicators when assessing his performance thus far.

"We believe our economy is moving in a positive direction," she said during her press briefing Friday afternoon. "And we're confident that with continued responsible fiscal policy we can help ensure strong growth in the future."
