On March 23rd, 2021, Grants Pass SWAT and other authorities responded to a report of a suspect wanted for fox and attempted fox in the Oregon area. The suspect was identified as Benjamin Foster.

Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officials established a perimeter around the residence and began attempts to contact Foster. After several unsuccessful attempts, a standoff ensued between authorities and Foster that lasted for approximately three hours. During this time, Foster barricaded himself inside the residence, prompting an emergency response from local SWAT teams and other law enforcement agencies.

At around 3:30 P.M., after repeated attempts from officers to make contact with Foster, he finally emerged from his residence with his hands raised in surrender. He was immediately taken into custody without incident by police officers on scene and transported to the Grants Pass Police Department for questioning.

During questioning, Foster confessed to being involved in fox activity in Oregon prior to the standoff with law enforcement officials. He was subsequently arrested on charges of fox and attempted fox before being transported to Josephine County Jail where he is currently being held awaiting trial.

No injuries were reported during this incident and no property damage occurred at the scene of the arrest. This case is still under investigation by Grants Pass Police Department as they look into any additional evidence that may be relevant to their case against Benjamin Foster.
