Tennessee Volunteers fans go wild, tear down goalposts after big win!

It's a tradition as old as time itself: when your team beats its biggest rival, you tear down the goalposts. That's exactly what happened at Neyland Stadium following the Tennessee Volunteers' win over the Alabama Crimson Tide.
But this isn't just any goalpost-tearing. This is Neyland Stadium, home of the largest football stadium in the country. And these aren't just any goalposts. These massive posts are anchored into the ground, making them a bit more difficult (and dangerous) to tear down.
That didn't stop Volunteer fans from doing it anyway. And now the school is asking for donations to help pay for new ones.
This isn't the first time this has happened at Neyland Stadium. In 1998, fans tore down the goalposts after a win over Florida. In 2006, they did it again after a win over LSU. And in 2009, they tore down one of the posts following a victory over Auburn.
It's all part of being a Volunteer fan. And we wouldn't have it any other way.
