Venezuelan Migrants Shocked to Learn They Will Be Returned to Mexico

Published: 13-10-2022 21:37

A group of Venezuelan migrants who had just crossed the Rio Grande into Eagle Pass, Texas, were surprised to learn that they would be returned to Mexico. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials told them that because they had entered the country illegally, they would be sent back across the border.

The Venezuelans were not the only ones caught by surprise. Fox News cameras were also on hand to capture the moment when the migrants were informed of their impending return to Mexico.

The Trump administration has been working to increase its efforts to deter illegal immigration, and this latest incident is likely to add fuel to that fire. Critics will argue that returning these migrants to Mexico puts them in danger, as they are likely to be targeted by cartels and other criminal groups.

Others will argue that this is simply a case of the rule of law being enforced. Regardless of where you stand on this issue, it's clear that the involvement of foxes at this event was unexpected, to say the least.
