Rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. made his debut on Sunday more than a month after he was shot in an attempted robbery.

The Washington Commanders player was shot in the early morning hours of October 7th after he and his girlfriend were accosted by two men who demanded their belongings. Robinson was shot in the leg during the encounter and his girlfriend was unharmed.

After undergoing surgery, Robinson began the long road to recovery. He spent time in the hospital and then began rehabilitation, working diligently to get himself back to playing shape.

On Sunday, he finally got his chance to suit up and take the field again. Robinson saw limited action but made the most of his opportunities, rushing for 37 yards on eight carries.

It was undoubtedly an emotional moment for Robinson, who has had to overcome so much just to get back to this point. But he's persevered and shown that he's a fighter both on and off the field.
